Clock 0.6.0

A few days ago I released a new version of my popular (45.000+ downloads) Plugin for the MMORPG “Elder Scrolls Online”.

It will probably be the last Version for a longer time because I will not prolong my subscription due to various reasons… but never the less I will fix any major bug if you find one!

What is new?

I changed the moon algorithm:
The moon algorithm was something I wanted to change for a long time now, but I could not get hold of the time system Zenimax is using to decide which moon phase is right now.

After collecting a lot of data I made a graph and found a pattern.
Every 30 days (in-game) a cycle is complete.

Empirical moon data

The blue lines and points are my data and the other three lines are created with one start value (0 0.5 1) and then added 30*20955 (30 Tamriel days).

You can see that some points nearly overlap.

When adding these points now to my new moon algorithm, this beautiful graph is the result:

Moon data

You see: A nearly perfect match.

What now?

The current Version (and last) is 0.6.0 and not 1 because I would like to make an own animated watch showing you the time if you open your map.
This said, it is a lot of work and I am not in the muse right now to work on it. Especially because the author Harven at ESOUI has made a fine watch himself and added my time algorithm to it.
Still, even with a 0.x numeration the time and moon algorithm are done and the plain text clock does work fine. Of course, you can still sync the Clock to your liking and customize as much as you want.
